This seems like it because usually when in asian dramas, they always do a wedding scene night makeout session and then the lights fade and changes to the scene of the outside with the night fading away. Here, the scene changes to the guards standing outside and didn't even bother to check out if their owner is okay. It seems they "know"

Princess cousin, Mr. Wei, comes the next day suspecting Chu Qiao to be there. Yuwen Yue protects her. Mr. Wei thinks Yuwen Yue will only use energy to protect one person and that must be Chu Qiao

2:59 : Lan Shu Yi hires beggar assassin to kill Chu Qiao.

4:33 : Chu Qiao sneaks into a house in an attempt to save the scholar. She takes the dancer's identity. At the time, Yuwen Yue arrives at a house and is welcomed by the owner. He had teamed up with the house owner to kill Chu Qiao.
