(she seems that she can let go with the apology).

Dong Feng Ji points out to Prince # 7 the letter is fake. Prince feels that the letter looks perfectly fine, and Dong Feng Ji explains that the content is fake making it a fake letter. Dong Feng Ji says they are not incapable to the point where such big situation will go unnoticed. However, you shouldn't stop the war with Yanxun. She should not let Yuwen Yue stop her from her path.

Yuwen Yue receives a birdie note (we all know it should be the Da Liang princess asking to meet with him). She says a phrase within Yuwen Yue's letters, and he ask her who she is. She says she is Xiao Yu (Little Gem). Turns out they were pen pals, and the princess thinks this is ridiculous (I agree). Yuwen Yue thinks their relationship is unfortunate and will destroy the messages between them. (lol I just died at how the princess pulled out the sword and Yuwen Yue pretending to be poisoned) Da Liang Princess had poisonous gas in the forest. She must kill him in order for her to be herself again. She doesn't kill kim and Yuwen Yue stops pretending and gets up to ask why she didn't kill him.

Da Liang Princess says why can't they be on the same path and walk. She tells him that Chu Qiao is Luo He's daughter, who is the biggest enemy of Yuwen Yue. Why is it that Yuwen Yue willing to do it for Chu Qiao. He says there some things that doesn't need to be said. He hopes he will never see her again (aka, he doesn't want to kill her because she is the enemy, so it's better that he will never encounter her ever again).

Thoughts

The battle between Yuwen Hao and Snake Girl + the monk was the best so far. I felt like the scene where the princess was crying was a good scene but over-reacted. It didn't fit in with Princess Da Liang character.

At 34:12, the princess pulls out a sword to threaten Yuwen Yue. LOL, this scene is hilarious. The sound effect is of a sword being pulled out of its metal holder, and she pulls the sword out from her dress that has no pockets.

The King of Da Wei wants to appoint Lan Shu Yi to take care of Yuan Yang (the prince with no mother). Lan Shu Yi is very happy to accept the responsibility.

The little boy listened to his sister and did not accept the food from Lan Shu Yi. He even knocks it out of her hands. Lan Shu Yi, upset, dismiss herself and the king ponders who can he ask to take care of his son.

She calls out her father on all is wrong decisions (which I completely agree except the part where he killed her mother.) She poisons the medicine and makes her father drink it. Yuan Che arrives in time and stops her.

Wei Shu Ye finds out that the princess is imprisoned. Yuan Che updates Yuwen Yue what happened and the princess is locked up in a temple. Yuan Che assumes more power in the country. Meng Feng accompanies Yuan Song. (I think they will fall in love)

Thoughts

The drama is coming to an end, and based on all the events this far, the drama is mediocre/slightly above average.

The dramas is very popular because I think Zhao Li Ying's performance is solid (definitely way better than Angelababy - I couldn't even sit through 10 episodes of General and I). I liked her the best in Rookie Agent Rouge. However, I do feel that her effort in performance for this show is not as good as her prior work. She seems to be over exhausted.

I am personally not fond of the acting performance by a lot of the main characters. The acting performances that I came to like are Xiu Li army commander (I keep forgetting his name. Someone remind me), Chu Qiao, Princess Chun Er (She has her ups and downs but has potential and it seems she put effort into the drama), Yuwen Yue's grandfather, Zuo Bao Chuang (the old man with the guinea pigs), Zhong Yu, and ah Jing. I think I left one or two people out as I can't remember at the moment.

Meng Feng brings food supplies to the gates and is stopped at the gates. Owner Chen comes out with the food purchase decree, and the people enter. Chu Qiao stops them and ask what they are doing and finds out that they are instructed to purchase food. They show the grains in the wheelbarrows. Owner Chen uses the excuse that it is getting dark so they should stay over. They, then discuss plans to burn Yanxun's army food stock. Owner Chen says their plan is too dangerous and they can lose their lives. They receive a note that there will be more food deliveries that night, and it's just too many people there to take actions.

The person that is delivering the food is Zhan Zi Yu. Zhan Zi Yu wants to meet with Yanxun, however, he's in Lan (Blue) city at the moment. Meng Feng and her men investigate the background of Zhan Zi Yu (that he is a wealthy and powerful Da Liang citizen who frequently interacts with business at the borders). He is a powerful ally. Meng Feng has an intuition that this man, Zhan Zi Yu, is very dangerous. Anyway, they are going to burn all the food supply

Before the mother leaves, she says she cannot protect her forever and hope she can mature up. (This seems to hint the mother will make a big sacrifice that can mean losing her life)

The king is determined to kill Princess Chun Er for her crimes. The method of punishment is poisonous wine. The concubine takes the poisonous wine on her daughters behalf to return a life to the king so the orders of the court will be maintained. She begs the king in return to spare her daughter.

Suan Ke, the other general kneeling down, says he admit that he shot arrows at Chu Qiao, but it was an accidental judgment. The entire Yanbei has no army, and out of no where Chu Qiao brings an army and confuses the men. They thought it was the enemy impersonating as their defense support. Chu Qiao argues how can this be an accident as they killed their comrades.

Sun Ke says please do not kill the good person, and officials pleas for his mercy. Yanxun ask if there are witness to support their argument. Sun Ke says his loyal guards be can proof. Angered, Chu Qiao was about to kill him with her sword. One of the general kills himself to say he'll return a life to them. Sun Ke says he was loyal to Yanbei and fought against Da Wei for 3 years while Xiu Li army were betrayers. How can he leave the defense in an army who once betrayed them? Chu Qiao defends Xiu Li army as they were the only ones who stayed behind to help Hong Chuan.

Yanxun, who knew his life was in danger for the past 3 years, prepared adequately to escape from Da Wei. He utilized the ambition and help from Da Liang country in his escape plans. On the day of the wedding, he slaughters the city and runs back to Yanbei leaving a group of men who had betrayed him previously to be suicidal soldiers. However, Chu Qiao returns and saves the group of men's lives. She became separated from Yanxun for some time.

Da Wei's princess gets raped by Yanxun's men, and blames all her misfortune onto Chu Qiao. Chu Qiao runs into her and her brother while they were en route back to Da Wei. When she left them, a notice was sent to have Chu Qiao captured. Meanwhile, Yanxun is trying to stabilize Yanbei to prepare for the upcoming war with Da Wei. No one in Da Wei is willing to help, and his forces is greatly outnumbered by Da Wei's army. He lost his love for Yanbei.

Da Wei sends all their troops to Yanbei to slaughter the area. However, there were no troops there except for Chu Qiao and a small group of army men. Yanxun, had secretly used another path and abandoned Yanbei! Da Wei's troops are up in the North fighting no one. Yanxun had taken his small troops to attack Chang An and have the family killed for immediate control of the capital.

Chu Qiao was unaware of Yanxun's plans. When she realizes what happened, she stays in the north to defend the civilians against the huge troops of Da Wei.
