Cao Pi refuses, but Sima Yi says he should as his parents wants to see them in harmony. Cao Pi tells Sima Yi that he should only do whatever Cao Pi tells him to do. Sima Yi, confused, reminds Cao Pi that the did not agree to be his slave when he pledged his allegiance. He says "okay, I understand and will take my leave." Cao Pi ask him what does he understand, and Sima Yi just dismisses himself. Cao Pi yells at the last words, "Don't forget how Liu Zhen died!" (the guy who looked at Lady Zhen and was punished). Sima Yi says "I did not lift his head up while talking to Lady Zhen"

Sima Yi takes the day off to play with his son. Cao Cao enters his palace halls where the officials are awaiting. He notices Xun Yi is not there and his official says he has been sick. (Another famous event in history) Cao Cao writes the word 活 (meaning alive) on a door, and ask for the meaning of his intent. Yang Xiu speaks and says you are telling us this door is too wide. doors + 活 becomes the word 阔. The brackets surrounding the word alive means doors. Cao Pi ask Cao Cao to have Zi Jian return for a visit and Cao Cao is happy.

Xun Yi no longer wants to serve Cao Cao and has been pretending to be sick. He is in doubt what the purpose of his life the past 20 years.

Sima Yi finds out that Cao Pi had requested Zi Jian's return and goes to visit Cao Pi in bliss. The father warns Sima Yi that Yang Xiu is using his brother like a hostage against Cao Pi from winning. Cao Pi needs to win in order to save the elder brother.

Sima Yi apologizes to the Cao Pi for using a random reason in dismissing himself from his duties for 2 days. Cao Pi ask Sima Yi to continue advising him especially in areas where he is wrong.

Cao Pi receives his brother's arrival and host a get-together for his return. Yang Xiu advises Cao Zhi that his parents awaits for him at the palace and he should hurry on over. Cao Zhi stays behind to have a drink with Cao Pi

Cao Zhi is extremely drunk and takes his leave late in the night to see his parents. Cao Pi warns him that is now very late and everyone has probably fallen asleep. He should just sleep over in his house and see the parents tomorrow morning. Cao Zhi insist on doing so and takes leave

Sima Lang is with Cao Zhi on their way to the palace. They make a wrong turn and ended up in front of Si Ma Gates which is forbidden to be entered without permission regardless of ranks. Sima Lang apologizes and attempts to back up and take another route. Cao Zhi comes out and does not care as he is very drunk. He takes his carriage and crash through the gates while Sima Lang helplessly tried to hold him back.

Xun Yi receives news that Cao Zhi had trespassed the Si Ma Gates and tried to help with the situation at first. Then he stands back and do nothing.

Cao Cao is awaken by the trespass and is extremely angry. He has Cao Zhi imprisoned, and the wife begs for his mercy

Yang Xiu devises a plan to save Cao Zhi. He sends Ding Yi to blackmail Minister Cui, as the general guarding the Si Ma gates is Minister Cui's nephew.

Sima Yi founds out about Cao Zhi's trespass and runs off back home to save the situation. Cao Pi questions his loyalty again.

Sima Yi wakes his drunk brother, Sima Lang, up and demand to know what had happened. His drunk brother wakes up and remembers that it was Cao Zhi that trespass the gates despite his warning. Sima Yi says only Cui Shen can stand witness as to who trespassed. Cao Zhi men will push the fault onto his brother in order to save Cao Zhi's life.

Cui Shen tells his uncle that it was Cao Zhi who trespassed. Ding Yi has a letter that Cui Shen has sent out to his relative complaining about certain political matters. If this matter is heard by Cao Cao, he will probably do something harmful to Cui Shen. Minister Cui will have to comply and push the fault of trespassing Si Ma gates to Sima Lang.
